The new Opel and Vauxhall urban - 2011 version micro car of Corsa
The small car will be a smaller version of the Opel Corsa and is very similar in aesthetics to a micro car. The future General Motors Group model is based on the Opel Trixx concept unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2004 and serves to illustrate this post. The production of this new model will involve an investment of 90 million euros (76.5 million pounds) in the plant currently produces the Corsa three-door body. This plant will take over the exclusive production, while the next generation Corsa will be built at the Opel plant is in Zaragoza (Spain).
Reilly gave a press conference yesterday in the city of Eisenach and said: "This is a step in the expansion strategy of the firm." The investment of 90 million euros in the Eisenach plant will significantly strengthen its role within the European manufacturing network brand and offer customers a completely new model with innovative technology and attractive design.
The new car will make its debut in 2013 with a conventional engine family, but will be designed from the start to support other more environmentally friendly engines, including a fully electric version.
